4. Laminate or tape?
Decide first — it changes the assembly process.
4.1 If using TAPE:
4.1.a. Place the sheet on a flat surface and carefully tape from top to bottom, smoothing by hand to avoid wrinkles.
If there are wrinkles — don’t worry, it’s handmade!
Talk to your child: test prints, imperfections, and learning moments are part of the creative process.
4.1.d. Apply glue to the back — along the edges, the fold line, and the center
4.1.e. Fold from the crease toward the edges, smooth out
4.2 If using a LAMINATOR:
4.2.a. Cut out the rectangular pieces
4.2.b. Fold along the dotted line
4.2.c. Glue as above (edges, fold line, center)
4.2.d. Fold and smooth out
4.2.e. Repeat for all elements
4.2.f. Fold the egg and bag (they’ll be filled later)
4.2.g. Cut with a 3–6 mm margin
4.2.h. Lay out the elements in the laminating pouch, leaving 5–10 mm between them. The egg and bag should be open flat
4.2.i. Laminate as per your device’s instructions (hot or cold)
5. Making a pocket in the egg
Attach it inside the egg using small pieces of tape, just above the base and under the download note.
6. The bag
Fold the bag, seal the side and bottom flaps from the outside using clear tape.
Now there's a pocket between the handles — place the lunchbox, bottle, and toy inside.
7. Adding the profile card
Glue the character's profile to the inner oval part of the egg using the glue stick.
8. Final assembly
Place the character and the bag inside the egg’s pocket.
Fold the egg and seal it with masking or decorative tape.
💡 Tearing the tape helps the child practice pinching grip — a key fine motor skill. Masking tape can be torn by hand.
🎁 Now gift it or start playing!
